Stare at me below golden blonde hair
I never realized just how nice you looked
When you read or studied by the fountain
I never really noticed you until my poems
Began to unleash what I'd been holding in
I could never gain the courage to talk to you
Not even in the simplest of circumstances
I made up those stupid excuses so as to why not
I learned you had a knack for art
Which filled me with glee because so do I
Your undaunted smile is flashed my way
Almost every morning as I head out
To my apprenticeship where I write
About you, of course
My teacher thinks I'm silly but understands
"It's a teenage girl thing. I did it too."
I can't help myself, to tell the truth
My writing is my heart on paper
And you're currently the holder of it
I can't deny my feelings any longer
I think I love you
